Cabinet Appoints Bhupendra Bhandari as New Chairman of NTA
Bhupendra Bhandari has been appointed as the Chairman of the Nepal Telecommunication Authority.
Bhandari was appointed during the cabinet meeting held on Sunday.
The position became vacant following the resignation of the previous chairman, Purushottam Khanal.
Bhandari serves as the Information Technology Advisor to Communications Minister Sharma.
Similarly, the government has decided to appoint Dr. Chandika Prasad Bhatta as the Executive Director of Nepal Oil Corporation.
These are the cabinet’s decisions:
-To approve the 12th Amendment Rules of the National Broadcasting Act, 2080.
-To approve the submission of a bill to amend the Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 2073, before the Federal Parliament.
-To appoint Bhupendra Bhandari as the Chairman of the Nepal Telecommunication Authority.
-To appoint Dr. Pramod Joshi as the Member Secretary of the Nepal Health Research Council.
-To send the report of the committee formed to study and investigate the sale and purchase of shares of Ncell to the relevant authorities for implementation.
