China’s Strategic Ploy to Divide US and EU Exposed

Taiwan’s National Security Bureau (NSB) has uncovered a covert Chinese strategy aimed at sowing discord between the United States and the European Union (EU). According to reports emerging from the NSB, China is intensifying efforts to exacerbate existing tensions between these global powers while simultaneously escalating disruptions to pro-Taiwan activities across Europe.

The NSB’s findings, disclosed in a comprehensive report slated for discussion in the Legislative Yuan, underscore China’s clandestine maneuvers following Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s recent visits to France, Serbia, and Hungary. The report delineates a meticulously crafted plan by Beijing to exploit various geopolitical fault lines and advance its own interests at the expense of Taiwan’s security and sovereignty.

Key among China’s tactics is the manipulation of France to amplify the notion of European strategic autonomy, thereby pitting the EU against the United States. Additionally, China is leveraging Germany’s economic interdependence and the looming uncertainty surrounding the upcoming U.S. elections to further its agenda.

Furthermore, China’s burgeoning ties with Serbia and Hungary serve as conduits for fomenting dissent within the EU while fanning the flames of anti-American sentiment. With pivotal elections on the horizon in countries such as the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Lithuania, China sees an opportune moment to exert influence over Taiwan’s diplomatic initiatives and suppress pro-Taiwan advocacy within the EU.

Despite assurances that Xi’s recent visit hasn’t fundamentally altered Taiwan’s geopolitical landscape, the NSB warns of the imperative to closely monitor the evolving dynamics between China, Russia, and Central European nations concerning Taiwan.
