CPN (Maoist Centre) Leaders Hold Talks with BJP President Nadda During India Visit

A delegation of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) leaders held a crucial meeting with the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday at the BJP Headquarters in India. The meeting took place during the ongoing visit of a five-member team from the Maoist Centre, led by Vice-Chairperson Pampha Bhusal.

According to RSS, Vice-Chairperson Pampha Bhusal stated that the leaders from both parties engaged in exchanging experiences and views on the existing relations between Nepal and India. The discussions also revolved around the goal of further strengthening the age-old traditional bilateral ties that have historically bound the two countries together.

During the meeting, BJP President Nadda provided insights into the organizational structure and grassroots activities of the BJP, offering the Nepalese delegation a glimpse into the functioning and principles of the prominent Indian political party.

The five-member delegation from the Maoist Centre included Chakrapani Khanal, Satya Pahadi, Rameshwar Ray Yadav, and Suresh Kumar Rai, in addition to Vice-Chairperson Pampha Bhusal.

The talks between the CPN (Maoist Centre) and BJP leadership signify a significant engagement aimed at fostering understanding, cooperation, and exploring areas of mutual interest between the political parties of Nepal and India.

Leaders of Nepal’s ruling party CPN (Maoist) center, who are currently on a 6-day visit to India at the invitation of India’s ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), have been actively engaged in various political meetings.

The delegation from the Maoist Center, consisting of five prominent leaders, departed for New Delhi on Sunday, with Vice President Pampha Bhusal leading the way. Since their arrival, they have been occupied with a series of political engagements.

On the first day of their visit, the delegation visited the BJP party headquarters, where they had a meeting with Dr. Vijay Chathawale, the head of the BJP foreign department, and interacted with other leaders. During this meeting, the Maoist leaders were presented with a short documentary showcasing the historic journey of the BJP.

The second day of the visit, which was on Monday, saw meetings with key figures from the BJP Mahila Morcha. National Vice President of BJP Mahila Morcha and Rajya Sabha MP, Darshana Singh, along with BJP Mahila Morcha member, Tina Bentick, met with the Maoist leaders. They provided insights into the history and activities of the BJP Mahila Morcha, discussing programs such as Poshan Abhiyan, Sneh Yatra, and the initiative to take one crore selfies with women beneficiaries.

Furthermore, leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) also met with the Maoist delegation on Monday. During this interaction, the BJYM leaders enlightened the Maoist leaders about the significant role of Indian youth in Indian politics. They elaborated on the BJYM’s interests, policy dialogues, and initiatives to actively involve the youth in the political landscape.

The series of political meetings between the leaders of Nepal’s CPN (Maoist) center and India’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) demonstrates the importance of strengthening ties and exchanging ideas between the political parties of the two countries.
