Deepak Raj Giri Emphasizes the Importance of Supporting Balen, Harka, and Rabi

Prominent comedian and actor Deepak Raj Giri recently took to Facebook to express his thoughts on the emerging generation of leaders in Nepal, namely Balen Shah, Harka Sampang, and Rabi Lamichhane. In a post, Giri highlighted the burning trust the people have placed in these individuals. However, he also raised concerns about a competitive environment being fostered by some elements who compare and troll them.

Giri’s post read, “Balen, Harka and Rabi…The people’s trust towards these leaders of the new generation is burning! That is good! But it is being felt that some elements have tried to create a competitive environment by comparing them, trolling them.”

The comedian acknowledged the executive positions held by Balen Shah and Harka Sampang as mayors of Kathmandu metro and Dharan Sub-metro, respectively. However, he clarified that Rabi Lamichhane is not currently in a position to actively contribute. Giri’s tweet further stated, “Balen and Harka hold executive positions! But not Rabi, as he is not currently in a position to work now. So rather than comparing them, it would be better to support and alert them according to what they have done.”

Deepak Raj Giri expressed his concern that creating a sense of competition among these young leaders might perpetuate the same old tendencies prevalent in politics. He urged people to support and offer constructive criticism based on their respective accomplishments and actions. Giri’s post concluded with the phrase “Good day!”, a common expression used to wish readers a positive day ahead.

Rabi Lamichhane is a member of the House of Representatives from Chitwan 2.
