EC Sets Polling Centers for Upcoming By-Elections
The Election Commission (EC) has taken decisive steps in preparation for the upcoming by-elections in Ilam-2 and Bajhang-1(1). According to EC Spokesperson Shalikram Sharma Poudel, detailed arrangements have been made for smooth polling processes.
For the Ilam-2 seat of the House of Representatives, the EC has designated 149 polling centers, accommodating 79 polling stations. Similarly, for the Bajhang-1(1) seat of Sudurpashchim Province Assembly, 93 polling centers and 74 polling stations have been finalized.
In a recent meeting convened by the EC, a comprehensive plan was outlined, finalizing a total of 10,892 polling centers nationwide.
The by-elections in Ilam and Bajhang are scheduled to take place on April 27, and the EC is diligently working to ensure the integrity and efficiency of the electoral process.
