Home Minister Urges Security Agencies for Unbiased Action in Ilam

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Rabi Lamichhane visited Ilam district, emphasizing the need for security agencies to fulfill their duties impartially and effectively.

In a meeting with the Chief District Officer and security chiefs, Minister Lamichhane stressed the importance of working for positive community change without any bias. He instructed them to prioritize maintaining peace and order while combating crime relentlessly.

Minister Lamichhane reiterated that adherence to the law is paramount, urging officials to act without influence and enforce laws without hesitation. He emphasized that public services should be delivered with compassion and support for victims.

Furthermore, he highlighted the government’s commitment to good governance, efficient service delivery, and tackling issues like corruption, drug abuse, and smuggling.

During his visit, Minister Lamichhane also participated in announcing the candidacy of Milan Limbu from Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) for the upcoming by-election in Ilam constituency no. 2. Additionally, he met with Kirat religious leader Atmananda Lingden in Mangsebung-5.

The visit signifies the government’s dedication to ensuring fair and effective governance while addressing community concerns in Ilam district.
