Jajarkot Earthquake Disaster: Death Toll Climbs to 133

Last night, a devastating 6.14 magnitude earthquake rocked the Jajarkot and Rukum West districts of Nepal, leaving behind a trail of destruction and loss. The earthquake, which struck at 11:47 PM, had its epicenter in Lamidada, Jajarkot.

The latest report from the Karnali Province Emergency Operations Center confirms that the death toll has reached 133. Jajarkot suffered the most significant loss with 95 fatalities, while Rukum West recorded 38 casualties.

As of 11:30 AM, the heartbreaking statistics reveal that among the victims, 67 were women and 29 were men in Jajarkot, with 19 men and 19 women losing their lives in Rukum West. Additionally, the earthquake has caused injuries, affecting 55 individuals in Jajarkot, 72 in Rukum West, 2 in Dailekh, 1 in Salyan, and 5 in Jumla.
