Koshi Province Chief Urges Swift Government Formation Following CM’s Resignation

Parshuram Khapung, the Chief of Koshi Province in Nepal, has called for the prompt formation of a new government within a week. This call to action comes after Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki resigned from his post on Saturday.

In accordance with Article 168 (5) of the Constitution of Nepal, Province Chief Khapung issued a press statement via the Office of the Province Chief’s Spokesperson, Narendra Kumar Shrestha. The statement invites any member of the Province Assembly to submit their claim for the position before 5:00 PM on October 13, along with justifications to secure a vote of confidence in the Province Assembly.
