Lamichhane Asserts RSP’s Commitment to Deliver, Vows Ministers’ Resignation if Goals Remain Unmet

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Rabi Lamichhane, representing the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has announced that ministers from the party within the coalition government are prepared to relinquish their positions should they fail to deliver on their promises.

Speaking at a festive program commemorating Holi in Khairahani, Chitwan, Lamichhane articulated the party’s commitment to effective governance and service to the people. He emphasized that the decision to join the government was rooted in the conviction that proactive involvement was necessary for meaningful change, particularly in a political landscape where no single party commands a parliamentary majority.

“We cannot afford to remain passive bystanders amidst the challenges facing our nation,” Lamichhane asserted. “Our obligation is to the citizens, and we are resolute in our determination to fulfill our responsibilities.”

Highlighting the gravity of their pledge, Lamichhane assured attendees that RSP ministers carry resignation letters as a testament to their accountability. “If we falter in our duties, we will not hesitate to step down. Power is not our objective; service is,” he affirmed.

Moreover, Lamichhane reassured supporters that the RSP remains steadfast in its electoral promises, prioritizing the welfare and interests of the populace above all else. He underscored the party’s unwavering commitment to transparency and efficacy in governance, stressing that tangible progress has already been made since assuming governmental responsibilities.

“The momentum of change is palpable, but this is just the beginning,” Lamichhane declared. “We are committed to delivering substantive results that resonate with the aspirations of our citizens. Our journey has just begun, and we are determined to present the complete picture of our endeavors.”
