Ncell Extends 50 Lakhs Rupees Financial Support for Earthquake Victims

In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity and support for the earthquake-stricken regions, Ncell Axiata Limited has announced immediate financial assistance of 50 lakhs rupees. The funds will be allocated towards the rescue, treatment, and relief efforts for the victims of the recent devastating earthquake.

The telecommunications company issued an official statement on Saturday, outlining their commitment to helping those affected by the disaster. Ncell Axiata Limited has pledged to provide the funds to the Karnali state government to ensure swift and effective assistance in the earthquake-affected areas.

Moreover, Ncell is not only extending financial support but also offering practical aid to the people in the affected districts of Jajarkot, Rukum (West), and Rukum (East). The company has announced that it will provide free services worth 40 lakhs rupees in balance to customers residing in these regions. The services covered by this generous initiative encompass the ability to make calls to other networks within the country and internationally, access to data services, and the sending of SMS messages. The availability of these services will be extended for a period of 15 days to facilitate immediate communication and connectivity during this challenging time.

In their statement, Ncell Axiata Limited expressed their deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones in the earthquake. They also expressed their heartfelt wishes for the speedy recovery of those who were injured in the disaster. Ncell stands firmly with the people of the earthquake-affected districts and is committed to contributing to the relief efforts in any way possible.

The death toll from the devastating 6.4 magnitude earthquake that jolted western Nepal just before Friday midnight has climbed 157 as of Saturday afternoon. Similarly, 197 people have sustained injuries.

Among the casualties, 105 individuals lost their lives in Jajarkot, while 52 tragically perished in Rukum West. Furthermore, 150 people were injured in Jajarkot, 85 in Rukum West, three each in Dailekh, and Baitadi, and one in Rolpa.
