Nepal Police Commando Trainees Take the Plunge with Bungee Jump at The Cliff

Trainees from the Nepal Police’s Special Art and Action (Commando) unit recently participated in a thrilling bungee jump at The Cliff in Kusma, Parbat. The activity, organized under the coordination of training coordinator Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganesh Bahadur Baral, aimed to prepare the commandos for high-pressure and adventurous situations.

Senior Superintendent of Police Dipshamsher JB Rana, the college principal, highlighted the importance of such activities in the training regimen. “The commandos are involved in adventure activities to prepare them for any situation,” he said. “We have been collaborating with The Cliff for a few years now.” A total of 106 trainee police officers took part in the bungee jump.

Nepal Police has a history of incorporating adventure sports into its training programs. The Cliff, a popular adventure destination, has previously hosted bungee jumps for trainees from the Armed Police Force, Nepal Army, and Nepal Police. Raju Karki, Chairman of The Cliff, expressed pride in supporting such initiatives. “We are happy to be a part of the Nepal Police training and will continue this cooperation in the future,” he said.

The Cliff, developed under Karki’s vision, spans the Kaligandaki River gorge, connecting Parbat and Baglung Balewa. It is renowned for offering the world’s tallest swing and the second tallest bungee jump. In addition to these adrenaline-pumping activities, The Cliff features a luxury cottage resort, sky cycling, mega troll, sky café, wall climbing, and other adventure attractions.

The facility is also expanding its offerings, with an infinity swimming pool and conference hall currently under construction. The Cliff continues to attract adventure enthusiasts and training programs alike, solidifying its reputation as a premier destination for thrill-seekers and professional development.
