NRB Begins Distribution of New Dashain Banknotes

The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has initiated the distribution of new banknotes in preparation for the upcoming Dashain festival. Starting today, individuals can exchange these new notes at the Central Bank’s central office in Baluwatar and its provincial offices. Additionally, major commercial and development banks, along with finance companies, will also be participating in the distribution.

The NRB has set a limit of Rs 18,500 for each person wishing to exchange their old banknotes for the fresh ones. This annual initiative by the NRB ensures that Nepalis can have access to new currency ahead of Dashain, one of the country’s most significant festivals.
