Only NC Can Lead Nepal to Prosperity, Say Three Former General Secretaries

Three former General Secretaries of the Nepali Congress (NC) – Shashank Koirala, Prakashman Singh, and Krishna Prasad Sitaula – came together today in Kathmandu for a seminar titled ‘Political Achievements and Today’s Challenges.’ The event, organized by NC Bagmati General Secretary Raju Shrestha, saw the leaders sharing a common platform and emphasizing the NC’s role as a reliable party for leading the nation.

During the seminar, former General Secretary Sitaula voiced his strong conviction that the country’s leadership should not be entrusted to the communists. He underscored the necessity for the NC to reconsider its strategy for national leadership, stating, “If we reform ourselves and unite, there is no other party as dependable as the NC.”

Sitaula also emphasized the importance of revisiting various critical issues, including the implementation of the constitution, and called for a comprehensive overhaul of alliances, party policies, and government operations to steer the country in the right direction.

The event drew attention to the NC’s commitment to remain a central figure in Nepalese politics, with the former General Secretaries united in their belief that the party is best equipped to lead the nation forward.
