PM Dahal, UN Secretary-General Guterres hold meet

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, who is currently visiting Italy, had a significant meeting with Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

The meeting took place at the headquarters of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome, on Monday.

The meeting between Prime Minister Dahal and Secretary-General Guterres followed the Prime Minister’s participation in the ‘United Nations Food System, 2023 Stocktaking Moment’ event held at FAO. After his insightful speech at the event, the two leaders engaged in discussions on crucial matters pertaining to environmental issues and food security.

During the meeting, particular attention was given to enhancing the relationship between Nepal and the United Nations. Prime Minister Dahal expressed Nepal’s commitment to work closely with the international organization to address global challenges and contribute to sustainable development goals.
