PM Dahal Visits Sheetal Niwas to Update President Paudel on Changing Political Dynamics

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ visited Sheetal Niwas, the President’s Office, to confer with President Ram Chandra Paudel. This meeting comes on the heels of the decision to dissolve the coalition between the Nepali Congress and the Maoist Centre, signaling a seismic shift in Nepali politics.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Dahal is expected to provide President Paudel with detailed insights into the recent political developments and elucidate the rationale behind the decision to realign the government with the left coalition, particularly in collaboration with the CPN-UML.

The dissolution of the coalition earlier today has paved the way for a new alliance orchestrated by Prime Minister Prachanda, comprising the Maoist Centre, the Unified Marxist–Leninist (UML), Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RSP), and Janata Samajbadi Party.

In conjunction with these deliberations, four ministers are scheduled to take the oath of office and secrecy on Monday afternoon, signifying the formalization of the newly formed Left Alliance government. Padam Giri from CPN-UML, Barshman Pun from the Maoist Center, Upendra Yadav from Janata Samajwadi Party, and Rabi Lamichhane from Rastriya Swatantra Party are among those slated to assume ministerial roles in the initial phase of government formation.
