‘Prachanda-Led Government Could Go for Full Five-Year Term’

Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr. Shashank Koirala has firmly dismissed the possibility of a government change in Nepal at this time. Dr. Koirala emphasized that despite occasional misunderstandings among the ruling coalition members, there is currently no indication of a shift in government leadership.

“As far as I am concerned, the government led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ could endure for a full five-year term,” stated Dr. Koirala.

He underscored the importance of a stable government in steering the nation towards development and clarified that there is no ongoing power struggle within the government.

Dr. Koirala also acknowledged the significance of Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ in Nepal’s political landscape, stating that he does not foresee the CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) collaborating in the near future.

In closing, Dr. Koirala offered advice to the party’s leadership, urging them to provide opportunities for the younger generation to assume leadership roles within the Nepali Congress.
