President stresses on implementation of State’s directive principles

President Ramchandra Paudel has emphasized the need for effective implementation of the State’s directive principles, policies, and obligations.

Advancing towards the establishment of durable peace, good governance, social justice, and an equitable society, as well as progress in development and economic prosperity as outlined by the Constitution, can only be achieved through the effective enforcement of the State’s principles and policies, according to the Head of State.

The President expressed hope that the government would remain actively engaged in this endeavor.

While receiving the annual report on the implementation of the State’s directive principles, policies, and obligations for the fiscal year 2079-80 BS (2022-230) from Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, the President called for the government’s proactive efforts in this regard.

Additionally, an annual report regarding the implementation of the Good Governance (Operation and Management) Act was also submitted to the President on the occasion.

Part 4 of the Constitution features the principles, policies, and obligations of the State as guiding principles for governance. These principles and policies provide a foundation for the meaningful exercise of citizens’ rights.
