Suhang Nembang Takes Oath as New Member of Parliament

Suhang Nembang, the newly-elected member of the House of Representatives, was sworn into office today. The oath ceremony took place at the Federal Parliament Secretariat and was presided over by Speaker Devraj Ghimire.

Following the official swearing-in, Speaker Ghimire presented Nembang with the parliamentarian’s logo. Additionally, Nembang received copies of the Constitution of Nepal, and other pertinent legal documents from the staff of the Secretariat.

The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries including Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Padam Giri, and Defence Minister Hari Prasad Uprety. The Chief Whips of various political parties and the Secretary-General of the Parliament Secretariat Padam Prasad Pandeya were also present.

Nembang, representing the CPN (UML), secured his position as a Member of the House of Representatives in the recent by-elections held on April 27 in Ilam constituency-2.
