Special Session of Koshi Province Assembly Summoned for April 18
10th Apr 2024
Koshi Province Chief Parashuram Khapung has announced the summoning of a special session of the Provincial Assembly for April 18. The decision came following a request from over a quarter of the assembly members.
Initially, the government led by Chief Minister Kedar Karki had proposed May 24 for the assembly session. However, in response to the demands from lawmakers representing CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Center, the province chief opted to convene the session more than a month earlier than the proposed date.
The special session is scheduled to commence at 1 pm on April 18, marking a significant shift in the assembly’s agenda as per the request of the provincial legislators.
