Sujan Sir’s Unforgettable Birthday: Surprised While Stopping a Student Gang Fight

Do you remember that one amazing teacher who left a lasting impression during your school days? At Gandaki Boarding School in Pokhara, Nepal, students recently planned a heartwarming surprise for their beloved teacher, Sujan sir. This kind action, in the form of a lovely prank, has not only brought happiness to the school community but has also gained attention and admiration across various social media platforms, connecting with millions worldwide.

A video on Instagram captures a touching moment: a teacher rushes into a classroom upon hearing reports of a gang fight, but is pleasantly surprised to find out it’s actually a birthday prank staged by the students. The video concludes with the teacher smiling as a group of voices singing Happy Birthday fills the room. He is also seen receiving a bouquet and a abundance of hugs from the students.

The heartfelt caption that accompanies the video states, “Dear Sujan sir, Happiest Birthday Sujan sir! Thank you for always going out and beyond to give the best for us, thank you for being our friend, thank you for making us feel like a big chaotic family. We have learned so much from you, much more than the pages of any textbook could ever teach us. This prank might have gone a little overboard, but your effort clearly shows how much you care for each of us. Sending BOUQUETS of love and flowers, Section D.”

The video, posted five days ago, has garnered over 3.9 million likes and nearly 22.4K comments to date.

Sujan Lamsal, a 38-year-old resident of Ghachowk in Kaski, has been teaching Physics at Gandaki Boarding School for the past 13 years. He is also the class teacher for Section ‘D’ of Grade 12.

The Class 12 students, who will graduate in a couple of months, said they decided to celebrate Sujan sir’s birthday in a creative way to make the event memorable. “We knew his birthday was on Saturday. Since the school closes on Saturday, we planned the surprise celebration for Friday,” said Saman Gurung, one of the students who organized the prank.

Lamsal expressed his gratitude for the students’ love. “I will never forget that moment. I have always loved my students, and they also have profound respect for me,” he said.

Gandaki Boarding School, established 58 years ago, currently has over 1,200 students studying in Grades 4 to 12.
