T20 WC: South Africa knocked out after its defeat to the Netherlands

Netherlands knocked South Africa out of the T20 World Cup with a stunning 13-run win as South Africa yet again choked in a big ICC tournament, on Sunday.

The pressure was on for South Africa to win today to make it to the semi-finals. It was expected that South Africa would easily win against a weak opponent like the Netherlands. However, the match had an unexpected result.

After losing the toss and being invited to bat first, the Netherlands managed to build a score of 158 runs by losing 4 wickets.

South Africa, who set a winning target of 159 runs, lost 8 wickets and only made 145 runs.

This was Netherlands’ first win against South Africa across all formats.
