UML All Set to Host a Tea Reception
The main opposition party, CPN-UML, is all set to host a grand tea reception today, celebrating various festive occasions and providing a platform for political leaders and dignitaries to exchange warm greetings.
Originally scheduled for Tuesday, the tea party was rescheduled to accommodate a momentous event – the address of United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament on the same day. This rescheduling highlights the party’s commitment to international diplomacy and cooperation.
The tea party program is scheduled to commence at 12:30 p.m. at CPN-UML’s central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur. The event promises to be a gathering of notable figures from various sectors, including the Prime Minister, Ministers, Members of Parliament, heads of major political parties, leaders, heads of constitutional bodies, ambassadors, heads of security agencies, and government officials.
This festive season, which includes Dashain, Tihar, Nepal Sambat, Chhath, Eid, Lhosar, and more, is a time when political parties traditionally host annual tea receptions to foster a sense of unity and goodwill among leaders and their constituents.
Notably, the ruling party, Nepali Congress, recently organized a tea party on October 28, celebrating the auspicious occasion of Kojagrat Purnima, continuing the tradition of festive tea receptions in Nepal’s political landscape.
