Who piloted the helicopter that crashed in Solukhumbu?

Captain Chet Bahadur Gurung, a highly experienced pilot, was piloting the Manang Air helicopter that went missing on Tuesday morning.

The helicopter, with a call sign of 9N-AMV, has crashed at Lamjura of Likhupike Rural Municipality in Solukhumbu district.

Gurung, who has been flying since 1998, has been a part of Manang Air for the past decade. The 54-year-old pilot is well-regarded for his expertise in aviation.

The authorities have confirmed that the ill-fated helicopter was carrying a total of six individuals, including the Nepalese captain and five passengers.

The search and rescue teams, led by the police, have reported the recovery of five bodies, which have not yet been identified.
