Baidya Nath Paswan Appointed Director of Greater Janakpur Area Development Council

Baidya Nath Paswan has been appointed as the Executive Director of the Greater Janakpur Area Development Council for a four-year term. This key position had remained vacant for the past two years.

Paswan was selected through an open competition and officially appointed under Clause 17(1) of the Council Act, according to Council Chairperson Sheetal Jha.

A resident of Sanukhara, Mahottari Rural Municipality-1 in Mahottari district, Paswan is expected to play a vital role in driving the Council’s mission forward.

The Council, established under the leadership of the late Nepali Congress leader Mahendra Narayan Nidhi, focuses on the conservation and promotion of religious and cultural heritage in the Mahottari district and surrounding areas within the Mithila Madhyamiki Parikrama region.

Paswan’s leadership marks a renewed effort to further the Council’s goals of preserving the rich heritage of the region.
