Deepak Karki Sworn in as Minister of State for Forests

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda swore in Deepak Karki as the Minister of State for Forests and Environment.

During the cabinet expansion on Monday afternoon, Prime Minister Prachanda administered the oath to MP Karki of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) as the Minister of State for Forests and Environment.

As a result, the Council of Ministers now comprises 23 members.

The prime minister now has the option to appoint two additional state ministers.
