Five journalists honoured with Rotary Journo Award

The Rotary International District 3292 has awarded this year’s Rotary Journo Award to five journalists, including Chief of RSS Features Department Krishna Adhikari.

The award was presented on Saturday in recognition of Adhikari’s contribution to the health sector through his writing of various articles including a book about Sowa-Rigpa, a traditional medical system in Nepal. The award also carries a purse of Rs. 51,000 and a certificate of appreciation.

Others awarded with the award include Prakriti Adhikari towards education, Rudra Bahadur Khadka in economic development, Rupani Ghartimagar in women and community development and Asmita Rijal towards youth and new generation.

District governor of Rotary International District 3292, Jitendra Raj Rajbhandari, gave away the award.

The award has been presented since 2012.
