
Former Home Minister Khand and his PA remanded to judicial custody

Nepali Congress central member and former home minister Bal Krishna Khand and his personal secretary Narendra KC have remanded to three days in judicial custody with the approval of the Kathmandu District Court.
Khand was arrested by the police earlier today in his alleged involvement in the fake refugee scam. Likewise, his personal secretary Narendra KC was also arrested by police.
District Public Prosecutor’s Office Kathmandu presented Khand and KC to the Court seeking three days for carrying out further investigation into the case, which was approved by the Court, District Police Range Kathmandu Chief Superintendent of Police Sitaram Rijal.
So far, the police have arrested 12 people in the incident while the investigation is still underway.
Police are looking for CPN (UML) secretary and former minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, after an arrest warrant was issued against him. UML has suspended him from his post today.
