
Govt. to implement Pashupati Area Development Master Plan

The government is to implement the master plan for the development of the Pashupati Area, the center of the devotion of Hindus.
The budget presented for the coming fiscal year 2080/81 by Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat in the joint meeting of the federal parliament today mentions that religious and cultural sites would be developed as religious tourism sites.
Old monasteries of more than 100 years would be preserved as well as monasteries of Nuwakot, Sindhupalchowk, Makwanpur, Dhading as well as other districts damaged by the earthquake would be reconstructed.
An integrated archive would be prepared for the protection of Guthi land, reads the budget.
