Have Concerns About By-Election Candidates? EC Calls for Complaints
The Election Commission (EC) has opened its doors for complaints regarding candidates running in the upcoming by-elections. These elections are set to take place in Ilam Constituency-2 for a member of the House of Representatives and Bajhang Constituency 1 for a member of the Provincial Assembly.
Complaints can be lodged during office hours directly at the respective election officer’s office. The EC will review these complaints alongside the nomination papers on April 8. Following scrutiny, the final list of candidates will be announced on the same day.
Candidates will have until April 9 to withdraw their nominations, and the allocation of election symbols will take place afterward.
Voters are advised that the polling day is scheduled for April 28, with voting booths open from 7 am to 5 pm.
