Home Minister Briefs PM Dahal About Balkumari Incident
Kathmandu, Dec 30: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ received a comprehensive briefing on the physical and human losses resulting from the Balkumari incident that occurred yesterday.
Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Home Secretary Dinesh Bhattarai, Inspector General of Nepal Police Basanta Kunwar, Inspector General of the Armed Police Force Raju Aryal, Chief District Officer of Lalitpur, and the Police Chief in Lalitpur provided details of the incident during a meeting at the PM’s official residence in Baluwatar this morning.
They informed the Prime Minister that a probe committee had been formed to investigate the unfortunate incident. PM Dahal expressed his condolences for the tragic confrontation and urged the authorities involved to conduct a swift and impartial investigation, as reported by PM Dahal’s personal secretary, Ramesh Malla.
