
Injured Officers and Civilians Receive Treatment at Narayani Hospital Following Birgunj Clash

Security personnel injured in Saturday’s violent clash between two communities in Birgunj are currently receiving medical care at Narayani Hospital, according to hospital officials.
The confrontation erupted during Hanuman Jayanti celebrations, resulting in stone-pelting between the groups. Seventeen Nepal Police officers, including Parsa District Police Chief Gautam Mishra, sustained injuries in the violence. Among the injured are Deputy Superintendent of the Armed Police Force, Devendra Bahadur Singh, and eight other APF personnel.
Ward Police Office Birta Inspector Niroj Chaulagain is reported to be among those seriously injured, Mishra confirmed.
In addition to the security forces, 12 civilians were also hurt in the incident.
Narayani Hospital spokesperson Dr. Udaya Narayan Singh stated that a total of 43 individuals, including police and armed police personnel, are currently undergoing treatment at the facility.
In response to the unrest, the District Administration Office, Parsa, imposed a curfew from Saturday evening, which remained in effect until noon today to maintain order and prevent further violence.
