Madhesh Agriculture University Vice-Chancellor, Registrar Suspended Over Alleged Misconduct

Madhesh Agriculture University has suspended its Vice-Chancellor Dr. Baijanath Mahato and Registrar Shree Bhagawan Thakur following allegations of illegal activities.

The decision was made by the University Senate during a meeting held on Tuesday night in Janakpurdham, chaired by Madhesh Province Chief Minister and University Chancellor Satish Kumar Singh.

Provincial Minister for Education and Culture, Rani Sharma Tiwari, confirmed that the suspension followed a report by a three-member committee, which found both officials involved in unlawful practices.

The decision comes as part of the province’s commitment to ensuring accountability and transparency in academic institutions, Tiwari added.
