NC finalizes 32 PR lawmakers, Nidhi, Mahat and Pariyar from male
The Nepali Congress (NC) has finalized the names of 32 lawmakers under the proportional representation (PR) system.
NC finalized the names of the MPs from the closed list on the basis of inclusiveness after a discussion with its office bearers during the central work performance committee meeting on Saturday.
Out of 32 seats that the party secured, 29 were allocated for women and only three for men. Due to the provision requiring 33 percent representation of women in parliament, only three men will become MPs from NC under the proportional representation system. They include Bimalendra Nidhi, Jeevan Pariyar and Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat.
