Nepal Police will celebrate the centenary year of Interpol by doing adventure, capacity building, sports, social work

Nepal Police has started celebrating the centenary of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) with a special program.
In the opening match of the 40th IGP Running Shield Football Tournament 2079, which was conducted at the National Police Training Academy Maharajganj from Friday, the executive director of the same institution and member secretary of the Nepal Police Sports Committee, Additional Inspector General of Police Sahakul Bahadur Thapa formally started the program to celebrate the 100th year of Interpol by providing Interpola Century mark Football.
As per the request from the General Secretariat of Interpol to celebrate this year as a special celebration in the journey of 100 years of the establishment of Interpol, Nepal Police has started the program to celebrate the 100th year of Interpol in the competition.
National Central Bureau (NCB) told that in order to strengthen the Interpol membership to build a safe world by facing the new challenges that will come before the police in the next 100 years and to continue the experience of this century, this year the Nepal Police will also organize adventure, capacity building, sports, social and other various programs to celebrate.
In 1923, Interpol was established in Vienna, Austria, by 19 countries, with the aim of controlling the increasing crime internationally, in view of the urgent need for coordination and cooperation between the police of different countries.
In 1967, Nepal became the 100th member state from the General Assembly in Kyoto, Japan, and the National Central Bureau (NCB) established at the Nepal Police Headquarters has been working for international police coordination in collaboration with various law enforcement units.
