
Nepali Army Delegation Completes Study Tour to India, Strengthens Bilateral Military Ties


A 41-member delegation from the Nepali Army Command and Staff College, led by Brigadier General Manoj Thapa, successfully concluded a foreign study tour to India from January 15 to 23, 2025. The delegation included six faculty members and 34 student officers, four of whom were from Friendly Foreign Countries.
During the tour, the delegation visited key defense installations in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmednagar, and Nashik. They engaged in meaningful interactions with officers from India’s Army, Navy, and Air Force, gaining insights into operational strategies, training frameworks, and organizational structures.
The visit emphasized the deep-rooted military cooperation between Nepal and India, fostering greater understanding and collaboration between the defense forces of both nations. It also underscored the importance of such engagements in shaping the future leadership of the Nepali Army.
The tour further cemented the historical and strategic ties shared by the two countries, reinforcing their unique bond rooted in mutual respect and cooperation.
