PM Dahal directs bureaucracy to focus on issues of public importance
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has directed the bureaucracy to take concrete efforts for resolving problems being focused on issues of public importance.
The Prime Minister issued the directive in a meeting to explore solution to the problems related to the compensation of land acquired in Tinkune and manage the landless squatters in the Kathmandu Valley.
“The issues of public importance have far-reaching meaning. We should lay utmost attention to such matters. We should not shift the matters connected to a ministry and agency and shy away from problem. Please be mindful to such issue”, the PM further said.
The meeting had discussed the matters to explore long-term solutions to the problem of Tinkine land when its ownership has already come in the name of the Nepal government and make the task of Tinkune-Jadibuti underpass effective. It may be noted that the compensation of the land and its subsequent problems have not been resolved yet.
PM’s Secretariat said discussion was held on various alternatives to logically conclude the efforts made so far for the resolution of landless problems in Kathmandu Valley.
Also present on the occasion were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Narayankaji Shrestha, Minister for Urban Development Sita Gurung, Minister for Land Management, Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation Ranjeeta Shrestha, Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Anita Devi Saha, Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Saha, chief secretary Dr Baikuntha Aryal and secretaries of different ministries of Nepal government.
