Secured Transaction Bill sent to parliamentary committee

Today’s meeting of the National Assembly (NA) has unanimously approved a proposal to send the Secured Transaction (First Amendment) Bill-2080’ to the parliamentary committee for clause-wise discussions.

At the meeting, Finance Minister Barshaman Pun had proposed to send the Bill at the Legislation Management Committee for the clause-wise discussion.

The meeting also approved the amendment made from the House of Representatives (HoR) on the ‘Monitoring and Evaluation Bill-2076 BS’.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma tabled the bill on behalf of Prime Minister, seeking endorsement of the HoR amendments from the NA.

Likewise, deliberations on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bills for the upcoming fiscal year 2081/082 BS have been completed at the upper house.

Earlier today, Minister for Finance Pun responded to the queries raised on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill.

The next meeting of the NA is scheduled to be held on March 28.
