State Affairs Committee Summons Deputy Prime Minister Lamichhane for Ministry Discussion

The State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the Legislature-Parliament has summoned Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane for discussions regarding the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Scheduled for Wednesday morning at 11 am, the meeting is set to take place in the parliamentary committee’s office at Singha Durbar. Chaired by Nepali Congress leader Ramhari Khatiwada, the Committee holds oversight over the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The agenda of the meeting, as stated by the Committee’s secretariat, will revolve around contemporary issues concerning the ministry’s operations. Secretary Suraj Kumar Dura mentioned that the relevant minister would also be in attendance to address matters pertinent to the ministry’s functioning.

Notably, Nepali Congress has been advocating for the resignation of Home Minister Lamichhane, both within the parliament and other platforms.
