TVRS implemented in 21 districts from today

Police has enforced Traffic Violation Record Software (TVRS) in 21 districts from today.

The Software keeps track of the names of the traffic rule violators, their vehicle numbers and the type of offense and all the record could be accessed by the division office in real time. The TVRS was brought into effect from the first day of the new fiscal year 2023/24, said Spokesperson of Nepal Police Kuber Kadayat.

Kadayat shared that those districts were Sunsari, Jhapa, Morang, Siraha, Parsa, Mahottari, Sindhuli, Kavrepalanchowk, Makawanpur, Kaski, Tanahu and Nawalparashi (East).

Similarly, the Software is in force in Rupandehi, Dang, Banke, Surkhet, Salyan, Dailekh, Kailali, Kanchanpur and Doti.

The implementation was part of the plan to connect the revenue collection as a fine for the traffic violation offences to the banking system in the provincial level, shared Kadayat.

The system is expected to facilitate traffic police in tracking the traffic rule violators without having to visit the division offices to collect the record while service-seekers would be spared the trouble of reaching out to traffic offices to pay the fine and get back their seized documents.
