Yamlal Kandel appointed as Chief Minister of Karnali Province

Yamlal Kandel, the Parliamentary Party leader of the CPN-UML in the Karnali Province Assembly, has been appointed as the chief minister of the province.

Tilak Pariyar, the Province Chief, appointed him as the chief minister.

On Thursday, Pariyar called on political parties to present their claims for forming a new government after Chief Minister Raj Kumar Sharma tendered his resignation on Wednesday.

A total of 23 MPs from the UML-Maoist and CPN-US alliance submitted their claim, with their signatures, to appoint Yamlal as the Chief Minister.
