Fair Weather Expected Across Most Parts of the Country Today

Most parts of the country are expected to experience fair weather today, with some cloud cover in the hilly regions, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

Currently, local wind patterns are influencing the weather across the country. The Division forecasts partly to generally cloudy conditions in the hilly areas, while the rest of the country will enjoy clear skies.

This afternoon, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in a few areas of the hilly region, and in isolated locations elsewhere. Light rain and snowfall are also possible in one or two places in the high hills and mountainous regions.

Tonight, hilly areas — particularly in Koshi Province — will continue to see partly to generally cloudy skies, while fair weather is expected in the rest of the country.

There is also a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in isolated spots across the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces. Similarly, light rain or snowfall may occur in a few high-altitude areas.
