flydubai to Begin Daily Flights from Gautam Buddha International Airport Starting November 10
Dubai-based airline flydubai has announced plans to operate regular daily flights to and from Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) starting November 10. Ticket bookings for the Dubai-Bhairahawa-Kathmandu route opened on Tuesday, with Universal Tours and Travels appointed as the airline’s General Sales Agent.
According to Pratap Babu Tiwari, General Manager of GBIA, the flydubai plane will land at GBIA at 1:45 PM before proceeding to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu, at 2:45 PM for a technical stop. After a one-hour layover at TIA, the flight will continue to Dubai. Passengers flying from Dubai will disembark at GBIA, while those departing for Dubai will board the same plane after the brief stop at TIA, in line with approvals from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).
The daily flight service marks a significant development for GBIA, which has been expanding its international connections. flydubai’s team recently inspected the airport to ensure smooth operations.
In addition to flydubai, Jazeera Airways is also resuming its flights to GBIA from October 28. Jazeera will operate three weekly flights, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, further boosting the airport’s international traffic.
