Foreign Minister Saud Describes US Visit as Highly Fruitful
Foreign Affairs Minister Narayan Prakash Saud has described his recent visit to the United States as fruitful and successful in deepening Nepal-US relations. Speaking to the media upon his return to Nepal at Tribhuvan International Airport, Minister Saud expressed satisfaction with the outcome of his visit, emphasizing the strengthening of bilateral relations characterized by friendship, cooperation, and assistance.
During his visit, Minister Saud held a bilateral meeting with his US counterpart, Antony J. Blinken, and both sides committed to intensifying cooperation between the two nations. Minister Saud conveyed Nepal’s interest in receiving increased support from the US in various areas, including IT development, food security, agriculture, market access, investment, and trade.
The visit also included discussions about the timely implementation of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) projects. Minister Saud extended an invitation to US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken to visit Nepal.
Minister Saud’s visit to the US, which began on October 29, aimed to enhance diplomatic ties and cooperation between the two countries.
