Gyanendra Shahi Urges Home Minister: “Don’t Enjoy the Power Intoxication”

In a recent address to the media during an RPP demonstration in Bhadrakali, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Gyanendra Shahi has voiced a fervent plea to Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, urging him to avoid succumbing to the allure of power.

During the event on Tuesday, Shahi cautioned, “Mr. Home Minister, please remain vigilant against the temptations of power,” signaling concern over Lamichhane’s handling of recent cases and governance.

Expressing his full support for Lamichhane during the Shalikram Pudasaini case, Shahi stressed the importance of uncovering the truth behind Nirmala’s murder. He reiterated, “The murder of Nirmala must be brought to light. Lawmaker Koiri remains in parliament, and appropriate action must be taken. The main culprit in Baluwatar must be held accountable.” Shahi highlighted the party’s continuous demand for justice in the Shalikram Pudasaini case, expressing disappointment that the Home Minister seemed indifferent, possibly influenced by a sense of power.

Shahi emphasized that the RPP’s actions were driven solely by national interest, asserting, “It is not for any individual or party; we are ready to sacrifice ourselves if necessary.”
