Krishna Kumari Paudel Khatiwada: New Spokesperson for National Women Commission

Krishna Kumari Paudel Khatiwada, a distinguished member of the National Women Commission, has been officially named the new spokesperson for the Commission. The announcement was made during a commission meeting held today, where Khatiwada was formally entrusted with the responsibilities of the role.

Khatiwada takes over from the previous spokesperson, whose duties have been reassigned to her. The Commission’s Chairperson, Kamala Kumari Parajuli, presided over the event and extended her best wishes to Khatiwada in her new capacity.

Expressing her confidence, Chairperson Parajuli stated that Khatiwada’s approach will be marked by a contemporary perspective that aligns with the Commission’s interests. Khatiwada, in her acceptance speech, pledged to work collaboratively with all commission officers and underscored her commitment to championing the Commission’s interests.

“I am immensely grateful to the commission officers for entrusting me with this role,” Khatiwada remarked, as she outlined her vision for her new responsibilities. She affirmed her dedication to upholding the commission’s objectives in full compliance with legal frameworks and constitutional mandates.

Effective immediately, Khatiwada’s expanded role will encompass advocating for the Commission’s interests, particularly focusing on women’s rights. She highlighted her key responsibility of ensuring the implementation of the constitutional right to information within the Commission.

Khatiwada emphasized unity and determination in overcoming challenges, echoing the Commission’s resolute stance against domestic violence towards women. “The National Women’s Commission stands as a steadfast guardian for all women,” she affirmed.
