
Nepal Secures Six-Wicket Victory Over Hong Kong in Women’s T20 Cricket

Nepal clinched a six-wicket victory against Hong Kong in the Women’s T20 International Cricket Tournament in Uganda.
In the match held at Entebbe Cricket Ground, Hong Kong won the toss and opted to bat first, posting 104 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. Nepal successfully chased the target, reaching 105 runs in 19.3 overs with the loss of four wickets.
Samjhana Khadka led Nepal’s batting with 47 runs off 43 balls, including three fours. Pooja Mahato remained unbeaten on 20, while captain Indu Verma contributed 18 runs. On the bowling front, Hong Kong’s Mehakdeep Kaur and Lia Wang Kee took one wicket each.
For Hong Kong, Shanjin Shahzad was the top scorer with 54 runs off 47 balls, hitting five fours and a six. Curry Chan and Yasmin Daswani added 16 and 14 runs, respectively.
Nepal’s bowling attack was led by Rajmati Airi, who took three wickets, while captain Indu Verma claimed two. Pooja Mahato and Ishwori Bista secured one wicket each, helping Nepal secure a convincing win.
