Nepali Delegation Engages With Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi and Governor Patel

A delegation from the International Relations and Tourism Committee under the House of Representatives, currently on a visit to India, held cordial meetings with key officials from Uttar Pradesh, including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel.

On Tuesday, the delegation, led by Chairman Rajkishore Yadav, convened at Chief Minister Yogi’s residence in Lucknow for discussions aimed at fostering mutual cooperation and harmony between Nepal and India.

The talks, reported to be productive, revolved around avenues for enhancing bilateral ties and exploring opportunities for collaboration in various sectors.

Additionally, the committee members engaged in fruitful deliberations with Governor Patel, focusing on the potential for promoting educational exchange, language teaching initiatives, and facilitating educational visits for students between the two nations.

Governor Patel’s secretariat highlighted the significance of educational exchanges in fostering stronger ties between Nepal and Uttar Pradesh, emphasizing the importance of cultural understanding and academic cooperation.

As a gesture of appreciation and goodwill, Governor Patel’s secretariat presented the Nepali delegation with books and tokens, symbolizing the commitment to nurturing friendly relations between the two neighboring regions.

The eight-member delegation, comprising prominent parliamentarians such as Sunita Baral, Chhiring Bahadur Lhamu Lama Tamang, Yakaman Thaplia, Yogesh Gauchan, Hari Upreti, Shishir Khanal, and Gangaram Chaudhary, expressed optimism about the outcomes of the discussions and reiterated Nepal’s commitment to strengthening ties with India at both regional and national levels.
