Parliament is not a place for personal accusations, says PM

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ emphasized that the sovereign parliament is not the appropriate venue for exchanging personal accusations and counter-accusations.

“While the reconstitution of the government is purely a political process, some colleagues from the Nepali Congress have interpreted this process in a non-political manner and made personal attacks against me. I chose not to retaliate against these allegations because I firmly believe that this sovereign parliament is not the right forum for trading personal accusations and counter-accusations.”

PM Dahal stated that he wanted to share his perspective in the House, believing that failing to refute the allegations recorded in parliament would send the wrong message. He reminded the Nepali Congress that they had once described him as a statesman from the parliamentary podium.
