Prachanda Demands PM Oli’s Resignation, Citing Government’s Poor Performance

Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ has called for the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, citing the government’s dismal performance.
Addressing the Maoist Terai-Madhes Jagaran (Awakening) Sabha (Assembly) in Dhanusha on Sunday, Chairman Dahal criticized Prime Minister Oli’s administration for failing to deliver tangible results since assuming office. He argued that the Prime Minister should resign after receiving a low performance evaluation.
Referring to PM Oli’s previous remarks disparaging teachers for scoring low pass percentages, Dahal countered by pointing out the government’s own inefficiency. “The Prime Minister scored only 28 percent in the performance evaluation of the Council of Ministers. Why is he still holding office despite failing? Instead of criticizing teachers, he should evaluate himself and step down,” said Dahal.
He further accused the Prime Minister of incompetence, adding, “Some of the ministers have scored only 18 or 21 percent. The Prime Minister is leading a failed government. It is time for self-assessment and resignation. Otherwise, the public is closely watching these antics.”
Additionally, Chairman Dahal alleged that the current administration had imposed a staggering debt of 3 trillion Nepali rupees on citizens within a few months, exacerbating the country’s economic burden.
