Madhesh PA Meeting Postponed Due to Janamat Party Obstruction

The meeting of the Madhesh Province Assembly faced disruption today as members of the Janamat Party staged a protest, leading to its postponement. Speaker Ram Chandra Mandal adjourned the session for 10 minutes in response to the protest supported by the Nepali Congress.

Meanwhile, former Minister of Education and Culture, Mahesh Prasad Yadav, was reportedly assaulted during the foundation-laying ceremony of an Agriculture University in Saptari. The Janamat Party demanded the formation of an inquiry committee to investigate the incident but resorted to obstructing the assembly meeting when their demand was not met.

Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav had called for the assembly meeting to seek a vote of confidence today, but the proceedings were halted due to the disruptions caused by the Janamat Party.
